Environmental Policy
1．Basic Philosophy
Recognizing that the conservation of the global environment is one of the most critical issues shared by humanity, we strive to conserve the natural environment in every aspect of our corporate activities and act with due consideration for the environment.
2．Environmental Policy
Under the slogan, “Protecting our pristine local environment through our actions,” all employees will work together to promote the following objectives:
- We will accurately assess the environmental impact of our business activities, our main products (manufacturing equipment and automation systems), and our services, and proactively promote the prevention of environmental pollution.
- We will comply with environmental legal requirements and strive to prevent environmental pollution.
- Among the environmental aspects related to our business activities, we will address the following items as priority themes for environmental management:
- We strive to develop equipment that promotes effective resource utilization, energy conservation, and environmental consideration, while making technical proposals and improvements.
- We aim to optimize the management of industrial waste and promote reduction and recycling.
- We will promote energy conservation in production activities, focusing on electricity and kerosene.
- We will optimize the management of organic solvents and chemical substances and aim for their reduction.
- We will promote the reduction, reuse, and recycling of paper products.
- We will strive to improve employees’ understanding of the Environmental Policy and their environmental awareness. Simultaneously, we will disclose our eco-friendly technologies, materials, products, and environmental management practices to stakeholders such as subcontractors and customers, requesting their understanding and cooperation regarding environmental issues.
- As a registered company under the Nagano Prefecture SDGs Promotion System, we will advance initiatives aimed at reducing power consumption.

Our FA equipment features energy-efficient control designs. We contribute to creating an environment where our customers can achieve further reductions in energy consumption and CO₂ emissions within their production processes. As equipment that supports daily production, we prioritize balancing environmental performance with usability, thereby contributing to more sustainable manufacturing.
Creating a Supportive Work Environment and Generating Local Employment
We aim to foster an environment where the local workforce can thrive with peace of mind. We are committed to building a workplace that is both comfortable and conducive to professional growth, enabling our engineers to perform at their very best. Furthermore, we are dedicated to creating local employment opportunities. By establishing an environment where every employee can play an active role for the long term, we aspire to remain a presence that supports the regional industry.
Nurturing the Next Generation and Creating Learning Opportunities
We are actively engaged in nurturing the talent that will lead the future of manufacturing. For local elementary school students, we organize programming classes that include “factory explorations.” By inviting them to view actual manufacturing sites, we create opportunities for them to experience the world of making things firsthand. We are also expanding learning opportunities tailored to different age groups, such as sponsoring robot contests for junior high school students in Nagano Prefecture. By utilizing our factory as an “open learning space,” we continue to spark interest in technology and manufacturing among the next generation.
Collaboration and Partnership with the Local Community
We value partnerships with local businesses and organizations and are dedicated to revitalizing the community through support for local events. Furthermore, we are advancing initiatives to build a framework for collaborative equipment manufacturing within the region and to promote the local procurement of parts and components. We aim to grow alongside the community and remain a company that is essential to the region.
Technical Contributions Supporting Industry
Through the provision of FA equipment, we support improvements in quality and productivity across a diverse range of manufacturing industries, both in Japan and overseas. We prioritize building reliable equipment that our customers can use with confidence, ensuring we meet the rigorous demands for precision and production efficiency found on the shop floor. Moving forward, we will continue to refine our technical capabilities to drive innovation in production technology, contributing to the growth of our customers engaged in manufacturing worldwide.
SDGs Initiatives
Nagano Automation has been registered under the Nagano Prefecture SDGs Promotion Company Registration System. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are international goals for the period from 2016 to 2030, adopted at the UN Summit in 2015. Consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets aimed at realizing a sustainable world, the SDGs pledge to “leave no one behind.” They are universal goals for the entire international community, requiring action from both developed and developing countries.
